HART Industrial Unions, LLC was founded in 1985 by William S. Boyko, President of an Industrial Pipe Fitting & Supply Company located in Connecticut. The brand name HART, along with the flat face Sure-Seal O-Ring design, was designed, developed, and manufactured to respond to the increasing feedback related to performance issues identified in high pressure, Class 3000 & Class 6000 sealing applications.

HART Sure-Seal (flat face O-Ring) Union concept and design was innovated by William S. Boyko to solve the identified industry problem with a leak-free option. This design would not only provide a higher quality pipe connection but also improve the ability for customers to connect two dissimilar pipes with a proven dielectric insulator to prevent galvanic corrosion, provide maintenance-free performance, and offer overall ease of assembly and disassembly.
